Ideas

The Blog has been going for a few years now, and sometimes it seems like we’ve written about everything but the cost of living in Hong Kong — and even that’s probably in here somewhere, too. We’ve covered many of the larger theme categories, and a few countries; also technical issues, logistical problems, road trips, lessons we’ve learned, customer stories, and so on.
It’s not hard to come up with new topics, at least not yet, but here’s a request for you to suggest some postcard-related ideas we can tackle. That’s the only restriction: it’s a postcard blog, not a political or social one. (Well, we can find a way to make the link, so just nudge us in a direction and we’ll do the rest.)
News and notes: we’ve been entering a large pile of scanned cards from Latin America. We do it alphabetically by country and are now into Colombia. A speedbump lies ahead: Peru, and Machu Picchu. The cards are terrific, but somehow they all look the same. In a way it’s like any ultra-famous landmark. How many perspectives can there be of the Statue of Liberty, or Big Ben, or the Eiffel Tower? We’ll find out soon.
Don’t be shy. Please let us have some topic ideas. Thanks in advance, and bye for now.

~Goloh replies: Great idea, but we have very few of those cards and not a lot of personal experience with them. I’ve read some articles about these over the years. It’s a well-defined genre. Wish I knew/had more …
