  • Lake Atitlan

Zadik card was produced cheaply (1960s?) and is of low quality, but somehow communicates great atmosphere and beauty. It’s the kind of card you might have wanted someone to send to you. Never mailed; photo doesn’t quite fit on the card, which is otherwise undamaged. Grade: 2

    Code: 20107002

    Price: $5.50

    Lake Atitlan
  • Lake Atitlan, blue tint

Card is from 1967 and is in outstanding condition. Never mailed, it does seem a bit bleak but that’s the way the card was made. We don’t know, maybe the scene itself is bleak? Grade: 2

    Code: 20107004

    Price: $4.00

    Lake Atitlan, blue tint
  • Lake Atitlan, panoramic view

    Price: $6.00

    Price: $3.50

    Lake Atitlan

  • Sunset over Tikal

This is an unused old card of an oil painting by Diana May Nobbs, who instructed us to remove the image of the painting from the website.  Whenever someone asks or tells us to do this, we comply if they are the rightful copyright holder.  However we still have the card, the outline of which is shown here without the image.  The image is of a green jungle scene, with a temple, and blue sky.  Grade: 4

    Code: 20107026

    Price: $0.50

    Sunset over Tikal
  • Antigua, Arch of St. Catherine and Volcano “Agua”

Mailed in 1947 with stamp and most of the purple postmark, this postcard issued by Clark’s Tours reflects the very good time the writer was having.  Those were the days!  Grade: 2

    Code: 20107027

    Price: $12.00

Antigua, Arch of St. Catherine and Volcano “Agua”

  • Quezaltenango – Procesion de Semana Santa

Not sure in what year, but this real-photo card was mailed with two different stamps (one, dated 1952, gives a clue) and partial postmark.  Estelle was happy.  Grade: 1

    Code: 20107036

    Price: $3.00

Quezaltenango – Procesion de Semana Santa

    University of Antigua
  • Guatemala City, Ruins of the Church of San Francisco

Like several of our other Guatemala postcards, this unused one is aging more than usual.  It has serrated edges, and while the front is fine, the reverse really is browned and foxed with age, though otherwise clean.  Grade: 3

    Code: 20107038

    Price: $2.00

Guatemala City, Ruins of the Church of San Francisco
  • Lago de Atitlan y Volcan San Pedro

We give you the caption in Spanish because the card does, but you can make out the lake and the volcano in this unused, old, real-photo card.  What’s unusual about it is the legend to the left of the (blank) postage area, saying “Postage Paid Courtesy of Bank of America”.   There’s a tiny tear on the bottom edge.  Grade: 3

    Code: 20107039

    Price: $4.00
