  • Plaza Square Fountain (Orange, California)

Continental Postcard C-219 mailed from USA to Malaysia in 1984 but according to a large rubber stamp on the reverse it was “Missent to Manila” first. Stamp and postmark are intact, card is normally aged. Grade: 2

  • Mill Street Mall Fountain (Aspen, Colorado)

Why are so many Colorado cards printed in other countries? This one, Switzerland, but maybe that is appropriate for Colorado anyway so we won’t say any more. Card was however mailed to Hong Kong in 1983 with one 40-cent stamp and full Denver postmark. Grade: 2

    Code: 33500004

    Price: $1.00

Mill Street Mall Fountain (Aspen, Colorado)
  • White House, Washington

Stamped for mailing in mid-1970s, and was written, but has no postmark, so who knows. Card has crease diagonally through lower right front corner. Yes, we know postcards of the White House are not in short supply–but you really want this one, don’t you? Grade: 4

    Code: 33500005

    Price: $2.50

    White House, Washington
  • Buckingham Fountain (Chicago, USA)

This (1960s?) unused Dexter / Nelson Jones card 50843-B (and #10) claimed this Buckingham Fountain to be “the largest fountain of its type in the world.” We always enjoy those little provisos, like saying Global Postcard Sales is the “largest postcard website of its type in the world.” We suspect other sites might argue.  Grade: 2

    Price: $2.00

    Buckingham Fountain (Chicago, USA)

One of Macau’s two most iconic locations. It still looks like this, but at the same time it doesn’t, and we guess you need to visit there to see what we mean.
