The caption on the card’s reverse identifies this as a photo of the UNESCO-protected historical town area. Mailed in 2010 with two different large stamps and full postmark, along with other notations that must mean something if you live in the Czech Republic. Grade: 1

Nice card, which both the writer and the postmark identify Bamberg as a member of the UNESCO World heritage list. One stamp, full postmark, Bilingual Luftpost sticker, and one small other one that we are tempted to peel off, but that would be cheating. Grade: 4

World Cultural Heritage – Macau (set)
Hard-to-find folio, in original shrink-wrap, of 25 unused cards showing key attractions of this small Special Administrative Region. The historic centre of Macau entered the UNESCO World Heritage List on 15 July 2005 as the 31st such site in China. The reverse of this folio lists the contents of all 25 cards. Wisely, none of the cards show casinos. We have three sets available. Grades: 1

This is an unused set of 12 matte-finish charcoal art cards, 4-5/8″ x 7″. We want to point out that the cards and the cover use the terms “World Heritage” and “Patrimoine Mondial” and “World Heritage List” (31st such site in China) but the name “UNESCO” or “United Nations” does not appear. Sunderbans, Country Boat Ride (India)
Unused card whose caption on the reverse identifies this “largest mangrove ecosystem in the world” to have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. Grade: 1

Sirakawago Village, Gifu Prefecture (Japan)
As the writer and the caption both point out, this village is known for its farmhouses and distinct steep roofs (rooves?) in the gashozukuri style. A World Heritage site. Card was mailed in 2011 with stamp and postmark. Grade: 1

Mount Kinabalu (Sabah, Malaysia)
The card informs that Mt. Kinabalu is Malaysia’s first World Heritage site. Mailed in 2012, it has a stamp and blue Mel Udara label, but the postmark is not legible. There is the sender’s “chop” on the reverse. Grade: 3

Senado Square (Macau)
Sometimes slightly inaccurately referred to as Leal Senado, this photo shows the iconic heart of urban Macau. From personal experience, we can tell you: there are never, ever this few people. UNESCO World Heritage location. Two cards are available. One is unused (Grade: 1, $3). The other was mailed in 2013, with stamp, postmark, and something written in Thai as a rubber-stamp marking (because the card went to Thailand) (Grade: 2, $6).

Very nice card, mailed from Tokyo with two different stamps, a clear normal postmark, and another larger, red, and equally clear special one. Trilingual blue airmail sticker affixed. In the title we say “sic” because this location seems usually to be spelled “Shirakawa”. Anyway, Grade: 1

This is a wonderful photo on a creased card mailed from Shenzhen to Hong Kong (by Air Mail!) with two stamps and postmark in 2014. We probably should do more homework on this but as far as we can tell, the Chinese caption just says “old city” though there is a westernised blue World Heritage mark behind that. Grade: 3
