Askøy is an island municipality including the main island of Askøy and the minor island of Herdla, bordering   Alver to the northeast, Bergen to the southeast, and Øygarden to the west.  It has one of the fastest growing populations in Norway due to an influx of new inhabitants from the Bergen, Midhordland and Nordhordland after the opening of the Askøy Bridge in 1992.   (Herdla has a popular recreational area on the site of the disused German Herdla Airport from World War II.)  This unused 4″ x 8″ card features the 1,056.7 m.
