Belgian Troops at Lado
We are indebted to several websites for background information on G.N. Morhig, who produced several glossy cards of Sudanese life through “The English Pharmacy” in Khartoum during the period ending in 1939. One website, from PittRivers Museum, concisely told us all we wanted to know, but it’s a good starting point for further details. We will go through our long series showing card number and other details as appropriate. None of our cards were postally used, and all have some degree of written explanation on the reverse.
Starting with this card 194, missing the lower left corner. Grade: 5
