Kanazawa, Kenrokuen Garden in summer, iris
We’ve a series of unused, contemporary cards from this old, private landscape garden, also spelled Kenroku-en–which, along with Kairaku-en and Koraku-en, are considered the “Three Great Gardens” of Japan. Kenrokuen itself translates as “Six Attributes Garden.” (You’ll need to dig further for more about that …) As for the flowers, they look like iris from here, but no guarantees. Grade: 1
