The caption goes on to say “Sleeping on Spears, Awaiting the Dawn” (in English) and much more than that in Chinese.  Mazu (or Matsu) has a long history of arguably being in the wrong place at the wrong time.  The card was mailed in 2012 with coloured meter stamp, and airmail and address labels affixed.  Grade: 3
