What a mess of contradicting accounts of this tiny island on the Great Barrier Reef, its (apparently) single resort that fills the island, and comments from people who stayed there.  Daydream island was significantly damaged by Cyclone Debbie in 2017, with the main jetty being washed away, Lovers Cove deck destroyed, and so on.  Evacuation was completed with the assistance of Cruise Whitsundays and the Royal Australian Navy. The schedule for previously-planned renovations was accelerated as a result, with most repairs being completed as of 2019.  It’s back in full operation, and Tripadvisor has used A.I. to generate a summary of all the reviews.  Hilarious, unless you own Daydream Island.  This postcard, though, was mailed using a postage meter in 1976 and predates all of that.  Grade: 1
