Yes, we know this is in Vatican City but the card (mailed in 1909 from one Iowa resident to another, with a one-cent USA stamp) attributes St. Peter’s to Rome. So we will, too. The pencilled message has all but faded away but it’s still readable. The card’s caption calls this a “magnificent pile of architecture”! Grade: 3
