We resist saying this too often, but if postcards could talk … this one was typed out by a grad student to his professor at an American university, and the message is so familiar.  Clearly the professor did not throw the card away, and we would really like to know how we wound up with it.  That will forever be a mystery, but the card itself has its stamp and much of the postmark, and a crease through the upper right corner, and the whiff of history about it.  Grade: 2
