    Multiple views on this Mali postcard, including Tomb of Askia and the Governor’s Palace, of the remote and exotic City of Gao, ca. 1960s, on this unused card. Minor aging and spotting on reverse; front upper left corner gently creased but card is quite clear. Grade: 2

    To western eyes it is hard to imagine anything more exotic than this mid-1960s postcard. It was mailed from Timbuktu, has four stamps and multiple legible postmarks. The most minor corner abrasion but really a spectacular, brilliant addition to any collection.  In fact, we don’t really want to sell it, and that’s partly why it is so expensive.  But if you really want it, here it is.  Grade: 1

    Two cards are available, dating from mid-1960s. One (Grade: 1, $16) was never mailed and is in superb condition apart from the beginning of age on reverse. The other was mailed, has four stamps and legible postmark. One corner is noticeably bent but photo is clear (Grade: 3, $24).

    Two Timbuktu postcards from the mid-1960s are available. Both were mailed. Each has four intact stamps and multiple legible postmarks. Each has very minor edge/corner abrasion. One (Grade: 2, $89) has an equally minor fold in upper right front corner. The other (Grade: 1, $129) has no fold. Beautiful and exotic postcards.
