-
Hong Kong Olympic Team 1996 – multiple sports
Unused, Official Souvenir Postcard issued by The Amateur Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong on 29 October 1996. Grade: 1
-
Hong Kong Olympic Team 1996 – Women’s sailboard (Mistral)
Unused, Official Souvenir Postcard issued by The Amateur Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong on 29 October 1996. This is Lee Lai Shan (“San San”), a windsurfer until now one of three Olympic medal winners from Hong Kong and the only one to achieve gold. Unaccountably, the card chose not to identify her. But we did. Grade: 1
-
Kai Tak Airport, with ticket cover
Unused card issued by the MTR Corporation (Hong Kong’s mass transit railway) some time before 1998, which is when Kai Tak Airport closed. The area on the front is the sleeve for a souvenir ticket, which is not there now. Only because of that, Grade: 5
-
Hong Kong Airport, Plaza Premium Lounge (set of 3)
Quite a nice way to spend some time in one of the world’s best airports. Set of three unused 5″ x 7″ cards. Grade: 1
-
China Hong Kong SP062 (set of 32) – front cover
This is a set of 32 unused cards, in a cardboard cover. The individual cards as they are shown on the back of the cover appear in scan 20308616B. A few cards in the set are not of Hong Kong. Moreover, the cards do not have captions. This is just a quirky set mostly of Hong Kong but originating from mainland China. We have one other set of the same cards (we think), but the front cover graphic is of a Bruce Lee statue. Each of these sets: Grade: 1
-
China Hong Kong SP062 (set of 32) – back cover
See the description for 20308616A. These are the individual cards as shown on the cover.
-
Shatin, Amah Rock
Not postally used, with a long message from 1969 written on the back, and black “photo corners” from an album, on two of the four corners. Grade: 5
-
Bubba Gump
Compare with our entry 20308223. This unused card looks similar but the discount offer from this restaurant on Victoria Peak has no expiration date. We don’t suggest trying to redeem it, though. Grade: 1
-

A set of ten larger (about 5-1/4″ x 7″) unused cards, still in their original wrap. Grade: 1
-
Chinese Zodiac Bus (set of 12)
We don’t recall ever seeing these specially decorated busses on the road, but they must have been or they would not be on these cards. One bus for each animal in the zodiac, though as a reminder these are busses in Hong Kong and not on the mainland. Two of these sets of 12 are available. Grades: 1
-
Historical Postcard Collections of Hong Kong (set of 32)
Probably produced in the mid-to-late 1980s, this collection of unused cards includes a wide variety of urban scenes, including but not limited to: urban overviews of different districts, Repulse Bay, the Tsim Sha Tsui clock tower, Hong Kong University, Hong Kong Government Football Stadium, Shatin Race Course, and many more. Because the views are often not very touristic, postcards like these are very hard to come by. Trust us on that. Grade: 1
-
Historical Postcard Collections of Hong Kong – Hong Kong Culture – Vol. 10 (set of 28)
We show you the front and back of an older set that contains 28 cards, including a variety of buildings and urban and rural scenes. These include but are not limited to Aberdeen Country Park, Po Leung Kuk, the Railway Museum at Tai Po Hui, Hong Kong Stadium, a statue of a horse at the Jockey Club in Happy Valley, and many more. If you are looking for a single card of any specific scene in that set, we have a few singles — just ask. For the complete set, Grade: 2
-
Historical Postcard Collections of Hong Kong – City Focus – Vol. 11 (set of 28)
A set of 28 unused cards, showing some wear around the edges (even though it’s bound), with focus on Wanchai and Causeway Bay and occasional glimpses into other areas of Hong Kong Island. There will be no cards like these again. Grade: 2
-
Tour Points Collections of Hong Kong – Vol. 8 (set of 28)
The focus in this set of 28 cards is on scenes in Tsin Shui Wan, Aberdeen, Ocean Park (misspelled as “Peak”), Haw Par Mansion, and Tai Ping Shan. The set is in its original unopened packaging so we don’t know exactly what cards are in there, but you can be certain many scenes no longer exist. The outer cellowrap is rumpled but the cards should be fine. Just to be safe, we will say Grade: 2
-
Country Side of Hong Kong, Vol. 1 (set of 30)
Sorry to have to price this unused set higher, but cards of scenes like these were never common, and as the countryside is grabbed (legally and otherwise) by developers, that’s it. We may have one set of Vol. 2, and one set of Vol. 4. (Vol. 1 is sold.) Some views are in “Country Parks”, some in remote areas and some in outlying islands. Please confirm availability with us in advance. Grades: 2
-
Country Side of Hong Kong, Vol. 2 (set of 30)
See the description in 20308628. The scan here shows the cover of Vol. 2. We also have Vol. 4, though are not creating a separate entry for it. Please ask us about availability.
-
Aerial View Collection of Hong Kong “13” (set of 28)
This opened set has 28 cards, unused, loosely bound or falling out, but no rips or tears. The scenes are mostly aerial, a mix of urban and rural as things were in the 1980s. Everything has changed since then. Because of the heavy handling only, Grade: 3
-
Aerial View Collection of Hong Kong “14” (set of 28)
Still in the original cellowrap, which itself is crumbling and tattered, the set of 28 cards looks like it is probably still in good condition. We assume the collection has the same sort of variety as our entry 20308630. Grade: 2
-
Life Style of Children in Old Hong Kong (set)
Another set that is hardly likely to be found again. It’s in the original tattered wrapper so we’ve not opened it. It probably has at least 28 and maybe as many as 30 cards. Classic and well worth the price. Grade: 2
-
Celebration Reuniformation of China in Hong Kong (set of 30)
We like this word “Reuniformation”. The cards are nice, too. You will see individual entries from this set elsewhere in our “Hong Kong” category, but this description will serve for 20308633/634/635. Each is a set of 30 unused cards, in the original but crumbling cellowrap. Each presents various views of the 1997 handover from Britain to China, from different perspectives. Each is in roughly the same condition: the cards should be fine, but we’ve not checked, so we will say Grade: 2
-
Celebration Reuniformation in China (B) (set of 30)
See description for 20308633.
-
Celebration Reuniformation of China On The World (set of 30)
See description for 20308633.
-
A Garrison in Hong Kong (set of 30)
Commemorating events of the 1997 handover of Hong Kong from Britain to China, this is an unused set of 30 cards in ther original old cellowrap. The cards, as with similar sets we list, should be in excellent condition but we have not opened the pack so we will guess at Grade: 2. Please confirm availability with us in advance.
-
The Rubber Duck at the Star Ferry Pier, Tsim Sha Tsui
This artwork caused quite a splash (sorry, couldn’t resist that) when it appeared in Hong Kong Harbour briefly during May and June, 2013. We despaired of ever seeing postcards of this one-time event, but here they are, and nice ones, too. We have two of these 5-1/8″ x 6-7/8″ cards, both unused. (The duck came back in 2023, with a friend, but we haven’t seen any cards of that yet.) Grades: 1
-
Conrad Hong Kong, poolside
Earlier in the website, we have other cards of this same hotel, identified as “Conrad International”. We think the hotel (still there) is international enough, but they no longer use that name. Unused. Grade: 1
-
Conrad Hong Kong, room interior

-
Hong Kong by night – The Lee Theatre Plaza in Causeway Bay
Nice picture though in real life it isn’t quite as bright as this. The card was mailed in 2013, with stamp and postmark — though note carefully that it was mailed from Malaysia to Hong Kong (with stamp and postmark) and not the other way around. Grade: 4
-
Jetway Express Ltd. map
We had great fun trying to nail down the date this unused ad card might have been designed. It still shows the old HSBC HQ in Central, so that makes it pre-1985. Though there are many other clues, we’ll leave those to you. Grade: 1
-
Astronomical Phenomena (3D) (set of 7)
This unused set is Hongkong Post’s “Postage Prepaid Picture Card Series No. 52,” with pre-printed postage corresponding to the photos, and all with 17 March 2015 first day of issue postmarks. These are 3D cards. Our scan shows two of the fronts and one of the reverses, for your reference, but there are seven different cards in each set, and four sets are available. By the way, these are really sturdy and quite heavy. Grades: 1
-
Geological Heritage of Hong Kong (set of 10)
The scan shows three of the 10 cards (in a 4-7/8″ x 8-7/8″ cardboard case) whose cardboard cover is subtitled “Sketches and photos of 10 geological features of Hong Kong by Prof. Chan Lung Sang”. As this cover had been opened before, the tape that originally sealed it has left a small mark on the back of the cover–not disturbing the cards themselves. Note that some of these locations are a UNESCO Heritage site but the cards do not say so. Cards: Grades 1. Case: Grade: 3
-
Hong Kong Disneyland 10th Anniversary – Happy Memories to 10th (set of 10)
These didn’t last long at their source because they commemorated Hong Kong Disneyland’s 10th anniversary in 2015. Our scan shows you the front and back of this set of 10 cards, still in their original cellowrap. These cards are by definition unique and limited edition, and should be desirable for Disney fans. Grade: 1
