Tuck Oilette series #9850, unused and unmarked although has been in an album previously and shows some modest corner indentations as a result. Some edge abrasions, but nothing like the goat was about to suffer. Grade: 3

This unused card has a minor abrasion onthe upper right corner, but is otherwise undamaged. The view will startle anyone of a certain age, like us, who has a different preconception of “Black Hole of Calcutta.” Grade: 3

Two cards are available, both mailed in 1996, each with two stamps and legible postmarks. The first card has an added bar code sticker on reverse, a small spot of some stain on front, and an added abrasion on lower front corner (Grade: 4, $4.50). The second has minor postal edge abrasions only (Grade: 2, $6).

Arguably the most famous location in Bombay (Mumbai) and one of the most-often photographed. This card dates from the 1970s or so, and was mailed in Malaysia (not India) in 1986 with two Malaysian stamps and partial postmark. Grade: 3

Card was mailed in 1987, with two stamps and a fair bit of postal battering around the edges. Considering India, this just makes it more authentic. Grade: 3

Ganeshpuri, Gurudev Siddha Peeth
This card was mailed in 1984 with three stamps and full postmarks. It’s aged and looks so domestic until you spot a tiny attribution in the lower left corner that it was produced in Miami, Florida. Are there no mysteries left?! Grade: 2

This card was mailed from India in 2008, with two stamps and partial postmark. The address is on a sticker, and there’s a small stain on lower left reverse corner. Front is excellent. Grade: 3

Two of these are available. One is unused card, though beginning to age (Grade: 2, $1.50). The other was mailed from Bombay in 1975 with two stamps and most of the postmark (Grade: 1, $2).

Painting
It would not be possible to find a card more “domestic” than this from India. We’re not certain which deity this is. The card was mailed probably in 1969 or so, with two stamps and partial postmark. The message area is pre-printed in one of the Indian languages, maybe Hindi. Many abrasions and degradations on a low-quality but highly atmospheric card. Hard to grade, but – Grade: 3
