The sender described this as a “satirical card mocking Indian classified ads,” and having read some of those ads during our time in India, we think that’s a pretty good description. Oversized (5-1/2″ x 8″) and battered during transit, it has three stamps, postmark, and an address label. Grade: 4

Mailed in 1978 with three stamps, trilingual airmail sticker, and a full postmark appearing at the bottom of the reverse and not over the stamps. There are also thumbtack holes at the top edge. Grade: 4

Agra, Taj Mahal
A large (5-1/8″ x 7″) card for a large monument, mailed in 1986 with: three stamps, a blue airmail sticker, a mostly readable postmark, and another chop indicating that the card had first been “Missent to Bangkok”. By a miracle, it found its correct destination. We’ll give this postcard Grade: 1

Madras, Mahabalipuram Shore Temple
Let’s make this clear up front: the postcard was published by Malaysian Airline System (MAS), with their logo, and was mailed using a postage meter from Subang Airport in Kuala Lumpur in 1984. It has never seen India. But like many other airlines, MAS featured its major destinations on postcards, and this was no exception. Grade: 1
