Postcard Book (set of 20)
We’ve not unsealed this set, but we also had most of another one and are selling those cards individually; items 20310284 through 20310307 show those. Scenes on the back cover are not the cards in the set — please don’t ask us why. In fact, who knows, the scenes in this set may not be the same as those in the set we opened. But we’re not going to look. All in this unopened set are unused. Grade: 1

Bengkulu, Tabot Spiritual Ceremony (Ecophila)
Unused card, beginning to age but still clean. We think this was issued by Pos Indonesia, in connection with Ecophila Environmental Care. The card is on the flimsy side and has an upper perforated edge, so it would have been part of a set. Grade: 2
-

Old, tired, unused, dark, heavily smudged yet undeniably authentic and even atmospheric card “Featuring the horserider dancing on the Fire”. Card sponsored by Bintang Beer. Grade: 4
-

Unused old and slightly creased card, one of the few we have from any country featuring bowling. Grade: 3
-
Martha Tilaar, rama rama and rempah rempah
Wow, confusing. The unused cards (we have three) are 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″. The Martha Tilaar Group is commercial, “The total natural beauty inspired by eastern value and culture”. The cards bear the logo of Soroptomist International of Indonesia. And the caption (as in the title) translates as “butterflies and spices”. Maybe these are ad cards, maybe not–definitely it’s not obvious. Grades: 3
-
Martha Tilaar, Sulawesi Selatan, Bantimurung, Rama-rama
As with 20310281, unused 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ card. Grade: 3

Unused card, a little rough along the bottom edge and with some kind of print stain on the lower front. Grade: 4
-
East Kalimantan (Borneo) – Orangutan skull in Dayak ritual
Perhaps the makers wanted this (unused) card to be more palatable, so they made sure to say this is an orangutan and not a human skull. But having seen for ourselves, we can say that many of the more traditional Dayaks would have those available too. Grade: 1
-

Bali, Tanah Lot (Maximum Card)
Maximum cards from Bali are not available everywhere. This dates from 1993, and while not postally used (i.e., not mailed), it has two purple rubber-stamp markings on the back: one says “Visit Indonesia,” and the other (translated from Bahasa) says “Preserve the environment”. Tanah Lot being one of if not the most famous places in Bali, this is quite a nice card to have. Grade: 2
-
Divisi Filateli (2 connected cards)
When extended, these wouldn’t fit on the scanner, so we had to do it like this. They are each bilingual (Bahasa Indonesia and English) order forms from Pos Indonesia’s Bandung office, in 1999, to join Philatelic Division mailing lists. Each card has pre-printed postage and is clearly postmarked, though unused otherwise. Grade: 1
-
