Johor Baru and causeway
Two cards available. One was mailed in 1990, with Sarawak stamp and legible postmark (Grade: 1, $5). The other was mailed in 1991 and also has a Johor stamp but heavily smudged postmark and a bit of smudging on front also. Get this while it’s hot, especially if the two governments make good on their plan to have a second causeway (Grade: 3, $4).

Johor Bharu
Two cards are available. The good news: each has commemorative stamp and full postmark. The bad news: postmark smudging on front, and answers to a quiz, and address, were pasted onto reverse. Each card: Grade: 4

Johor Baru, Causeway at night
Two of these are available, mailed five years apart. The one from 1986 has Selangor stamp and near-full postmark, also some white correction fluid on reverse and some aging. The one from 1991 was stamped for mailing but machine missed it. Grades: 3

Kuala Lumpur, Kompleks Dayabumi at night
Two cards are available, from 1991. One has Selangor stamp and full postmark (Grade: 1, $5). The other also has Selangor stamp, but no readable postmark and some creasing on front (Grade: 3, $3).

Kuala Lumpur, National Monument
Four mailed cards are available. The fronts of all four are excellent and identical. The backs show they come from different print runs and even have different index numbers. Each has a Malaysian stamp. Card A is a commemorative stamp and partly legible postmark from Grik (Grade: 2, $5). Card B is also a commemorative stamp but less legible postmark (Grade: 2, $4.50). Card C has Wilayah Persekutuan stamp and partly legible postmark, and orange postal bar code (Grade: 3, $3.50). Card D also has Wilayah stamp but no postmark at all (Grade: 3, $3).

Dyak (sic) man
Unused card issued by Malaysian Airlines probably in the 1980s. Caption on reverse says “Dyaks, famous for ‘longhouse hospitality,'” which is true even if this gentleman looks like he would happily spear you. Grade: 1

Kuala Lumpur, Hilton Hotel
This stopped being a Hilton Hotel many years ago. Two of these cards are available, not to be confused with others very similar. Both were mailed in 1986. One has upper left corner crease and postmark smudging on front; stamp and nearly full postmark on aging reverse (Grade: 3, $5). One has major postmark ink on front and back, with a stamp but illegible postmark (Grade: 4, $3).

“Greetings from Sabah” on this unused card dated 2011. Kudat, by the way, is near Sabah’s “northernmost tip at Tanjung Simpang Mengayau.” Grade: 1

A set of ten unused cards in a cardboard cover measuring 5″ x 12-1/2″. This was issued in conjunction with the International Educational & Cultural Exchange Foundation and the Maritime Archaeology Museum, and the cards show “past and present Malacca scenery.” Grade: 1
