Ferdinand Marcos
Leaving all editorial comment aside, this could be (and was) used as a postcard or as a poster for the wall, we suppose. The message area has a pre-printed short text right in the middle, and no lines (but space for) an address. Card was mailed in 1996 and has one stamp and an inky postmark, with some extra pencilled numbers added in by the retailer for good measure. Grade: 3

This is more or less what we mean by the statement on our home page! Card was mailed in 1998 and has two stamps but the postmark isn’t legible. There’s a postal barcode imprint on bottom reverse, and one edge is a little abraded on the reverse, but front is good. Grade: 3

The last time we looked, jeepneys weren’t as colourful as these, but it’s been awhile. This aging card with serrated edges was mailed in either 1986 or 1988 from Malaysia–not Philippines–with two Malaysian stamps and nearly legible postmark. Grade: 3

This is an unused card from 1997. As for what it shows (which we had absolutely no idea), we have borrowed this from a Philippines tourism website: “Ask any Filipino what he or she thinks of Pampanga – chances are you would hear the words sisig, beauty queens, lahar (volcano’s pyroclastic material)…” So now you know. Grade: 1
