Baguio Airport
Unused card, with abrasions on the front. We don’t know how old the card is, but the aircraft registration number looks like it might be PI-C505, and Philippines now uses RP-. Moreover, neither number shows up easily in Google. So let’s just say: it’s an older postcard. Grade: 4
-
Mindanao, Walling-Walling Orchids
Unused, older Mike Roberts card C355. Showing its age, but clean. By the way, there may be an alternate spelling, since Wikipedia shows: “Vanda sanderiana is … commonly called Waling-waling in the Philippines and is also called Sander’s Vanda after Henry Frederick Conrad Sander, a noted orchidologist. The orchid is considered to be the ‘Queen of Philippine flowers’ and is worshiped as a diwata by the indigenous Bagobo people.” Grade: 1
-

Great older view on the front, though the card was mailed from Hong Kong (not Manila!) in 1961, with two stamps, airmail sticker, and postmark over those. Grade: 3
-
Sayaw Ed Tapew Na Bangko
That is a song title, “Dance on the Bench Top,” and so they are doing. Card was mailed in 1979 from Hong Kong (not Philippines!), with HK stamp, postmark, and airmail label. Also — a thumbtack hole at the top. Grade: 5

Manila, Taft Avenue
The view (according to the caption) includes City Hall and the General Post Office. The card, however, was mailed from Hong Kong (not Philippines) in 1961, with two different stamps and a blue air mail sticker. Grade: 3
