Berlin 1935, Grune Woche, Ehrenhalle
Unused card, real photo. Front is in as-new condition. Reverse is a bit smudged. This vintage Nazi-era postcard is a specialty item. Grade: 1
-

Card written and stamped for mailing in 1970, but no postmark, so who knows… Serrated edges, and in fine condition otherwise. Grade: 4
-
Berlin, die mauer pick-pick-picker
Just after the Berlin Wall came down, postcards followed. This was mailed in 1990, has two stamps and full Munich postmark along with the blue “mit luftpost” sticker. Grade: 1
-
Kaub am Rhine
In about 1990 this card, which also shows Pfalz Castle, was mailed in Malaysia (not Germany!) with a Malaysian stamp and illegible postmark. It is aging quite a bit on the reverse, and has some white correction fluid too. But the front is OK! Grade: 3
-
Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Nice, classically tourist/Europe-style card from 1970. Unless you know the system, you could be fooled: it has a USA stamp and full U.S. Army Postal Service postmark, which means that it was mailed from Germany through the Army system. Card has serrated edges. Grade: 2
-
St. Goarshausen
Aging card, probably mailed from an overseas US Army installation in 1970: an uncancelled 8-cent US stamp is there. Grade: 4
-

Heidelberg
Very old but in terrible condition. It was mailed from Norway, Iowa (yes, there is such a town) to Roland, Iowa in 1910. One corner is missing, and so is the stamp; the message is written in Norwegian, which we must suppose is not a coincidence. Grade: 5
-
