Montreaux – Palace
Now the Fairmont Le Montreaux Palace, with predictably good online reviews, but this card comes from earlier days, real-photo mailed with stamp and not-quite-legible postmark. Abrasions all around the front. Grade: 4

Bern, Bärengraben
Unused, old, undivided back card. Corner abrasion. Grade: 3
-
Val Mustair, Restaurant “La Posa”
Mailed in 2013 with two stamps, postmark, and white A Priority label. Orange postal barcoding across the front — no escaping that, these days. Grade: 1
-
Rhonegletscher. Eisgrotte.
Unused old postcard, aged. It would be unremarkable but for the round black rubber-stamped “chop” on the back indicating that the card was apparently bought right at the glacier. Grade: 2
-
Murren von Wengen gesehen
Not postally used, but with messages taking up most of the reverse. Grade: 4
-
Kl. Scheidegg, Jungfrau
For you, courtesy of Wikipedia: “The Kleine Scheidegg is a mountain pass at an elevation of 2,061 m, situated below and between the Eiger and Lauberhorn peaks in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland.” Also for you–if you want it–this old, unused card whose stylised attribution is unreadable. Real-photo, Grade: 2
-
Lac Leman
Also known as Lake Geneva, on a card with serrated edges, mailed in 1957 with stamp and postmark. Abrasions along upper right corner. Grade: 3

-
Bielersee, Restaurant-Hotel St. Petersinsel
Not postally used, and with a long message from 2013 fully covering the reverse. Grade: 4
-
Luzern mit Pilatus
Nice, old view on the front. The reverse is another story: not postally used, heavily aged, some stains and abrasions, and a note that someone visited in July of 1910. That helps date the card, at least. Grade: 4
-
Zurich, Flughafen
Unused, somewhat aging but clean card. Grade: 1
-
Bern; das Theater
Mailed in 1912 with stamp, full clear postmark, and a message in some of the smallest handwriting we’ve ever seen. And we’ve seen a lot. Grade: 2

Unused and highly aged, more so on the reverse; but clean. Grade: 3
-
Grüezi Schweiz
Mailed in 2019 with two different stamps and postmark. Grade: 1

Neuhausen, Rheinfall
The best word we can think of for this Swiss postcard is “majestic”. Larger in size and expansive in style, it was mailed in 2020 with two stamps and postmark. Grade: 1

Mailed in 2020, this B&W card has its stamp and clear postmark. Grade: 1

-
Bern-Zytglockenturm
This old clock tower’s name has as many different spellings as it does restorations (Wikipedia:) “The Zytglogge (lit. ‘time bell’) is a landmark medieval tower, built in the early 13th century. It has served as guard tower, prison, clock tower, centre of urban life and civic memorial. Despite the many redecorations and renovations it has undergone in its 800 years of existence, the Zytglogge is one of Bern’s most recognisable symbols and the oldest monument of the city, and with its 15th-century astronomical clock it is within a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site.” Unused. Grade: 1
-
Berne, Marksman-Fountain and clock-tower
Unused. Grade: 1

A high-quality, unused card whose only caption, surprisingly, is “Switzerland”. Someone got lazy. Grade: 1
-
Lugano, Panorama con il Monte Brè
Lugano has been around for a very, very long time. Monte Brè (925 m) is a small mountain east of Lugano on the flank of Monte Boglia (1,516 m) and is considered one of the sunniest points in Switzerland. Making Lugano look almost tropical, this postcard was mailed from Italy in 1962, with stamp and postmark; it went to Singapore where it attracted another large postmark and then went on to the U.K. And now, it’s here in Hong Kong — and could go to you. Grade: 3
-
Lac Leman
Also known as Lake Geneva, on this card with multiple views. However the card’s not in good condition: mailed from England, it does have a stamp and postmark but also stains and creases. Grade: 5
-
Alphutte im Berner Oberland …
The card with its mountains (Eiger, Monch, Jungfrau) is from Switzerland but it was posted from England in 1958 with stamp and Leicester postmark. Grade: 4
-
Chateau de Chillon et Dents du Midi
Real-photo postcard mailed from Leicester, England (not Switzerland) in what looks like 1958 — stamp and most of the postmark are there. Grade: 4
-
Luzern und die Alpen
With all the peaks identified, and this fine overview of the city, this is about as iconic a Swiss postcard as you’ll find — with the bonus of having its stamp and 1952 postmark. It helps too that the writer was enjoying perfect weather. Grade: 1
-
Grindelwald, Hotel Belvedere und Wetterhorn
