Honestly, we don’t know where this is from. This makes it a prize catch for postcard treasure hunters. It’s old, slightly smaller than normal (3-3/8″ x 5-3/8″), real photo, unused, and with no linguistic hints though the four words on reverse are in English. Grade: 1

    Code: 20700002

  • Big city (Middle East?)

For some unknown reason, we have two of these unused cards. They are in absolutely as-new condition, but the printing on reverse is in Arabic. So we don’t know what city this is. And we’re not guessing. Grades: 1

    Code: 20700003

    Price: $3.00

  • The sea

The colors on this card, mailed in Malaysia in 1990, are so unnatural they look radioactive. There is a Malaysian stamp and partial postmark but the card is a bit battered, abraded, stained, and really little better than a space filler. Grade: 5

    Code: 20700004

    Price: $2.50

  • Mountaintop

Could this possibly be Greece or the Acropolis? We just don’t know. It is a heavily battered but unused card. Grade: 5

    Code: 20700005

    Price: $2.50

  • Approche de l’orage

The storm may be approaching but we have no real idea where or what this is all about except that the photographer is identified as being from Geneva, Switzerland.  That does not look like a Swiss scene, however.  Grade: 2

    Code: 20700006

    Price: $1.00

  • The Magic of Micronesia

Although the writer identified the scene as being of Majuro in the Marshall Islands, the printing in the caption does not say so — though a note in the postage area does.  There’s an uncancelled 20-cent US stamp, and that white dot you see on the right side at the horizon is an abrasion on the card.  Grade: 5

    Code: 20700007

    Price: $0.50
