This unattributed real-photo vintage postcard 11910 has no caption other than “Singapore” but we believe it to be of Anderson Bridge shortly after the 1910 opening. Apart from normal aging, card is unused and in terrific condition. Grade: 1

Extraordinary piece of WWI history. Max Hilckes postcard showing return of soldiers at Johnson Pier was never mailed and is undamaged. Nicely aged reverse. Beautiful, and really this postcard is a prize catch for Singapore Straits Settlements collectors. Grade: 1

Aerial river view
Very nice, clear B&W real photo dating from earlier 20th cent. It’s marred only by minor abrasion and that the front corners had been pasted in an album. When the card came out, so did three corner surfaces. Reverse is slightly smudged. Grade: 4

What a wonderful card this is for whomever spots it first. B&W, undamaged front; the charm is on the reverse. Mailed from Singapore to a Japanese Marquis in Tokyo, the stamp is intact and so are multiple Singapore and Japanese postmarks from 1909. Message is in Japanese. Could the buyer e-mail us back and tell us what this said? Grade: 1

We say “likely” Thaipusam procession because there is no caption, but we know it’s Singapore from merchant’s sign in background and we have seen real processions in the past. So. This old card was probably B&W fading to sepia, was never mailed, and is in great condition. Grade: 1
