    In 1960, from Singapore Airport (on the postmark), this card went to England with a “Singapore Malaya” stamp.  Scenes like this exist today still, though more so in Malaysia than in highly developed Singapore.  Grade: 1

  • Waterfront (3D)

    Here’s an unused, sturdy, lenticular-printed 3D card of old Singapore’s waterfront.  That’s the good news.  The other news is that the card has been pasted into an album, and there are abrasions on each of the four reverse corners.  As well, the 3D effect is not as pronounced as it can be on similar cards — but it is there to see.  Grade: 3

  • Collyer Quay

    Collyer Quay is a street and seawall.  Built by convict labour, Collyer Quay served as an important landing point for the unloading and storage of goods transported along the Singapore River, and was named after Captain George Chancellor Collyer, an army engineer with the Madras Engineers.  This card, while definitely Singaporean, was mailed from Malaysia in 1966 and has its stamp and much of a Penang postmark.  Grade: 3
