This card suffered during transit, and apart from that, even though it was mailed from the Netherlands, the sender chose to use stamps from other countries–which were not cancelled. Grade: 5

As a public service, an organisation says “do not disconnect yourself” (but look for help). There’s a QR code on the back to help you do that, as well as three different stamps and Priority label and full postmark. Very minor postal bumping. Grade: 2

There was an exhibition at the Louwman Museum in The Hague, celebrating 125 years of automobile advertising. The caption on the back is long and all in Dutch, but somehow doesn’t identify this car as a famous American flop, the Edsel. Mailed in 2012 with stamp and postmark. Some postmark ink smudging on the front. Grade: 2

This maximum card is one of our favourite postcards ever. Forgive us then for thinking it should be yours, too. You will think: it cannot be so expensive. Well, yes, it can. Mailed in 2013 with a large special postmark (same as the one on the front) over another stamp, and bilingual Priority label. Official Disney card dated 2012. Grade: 1

Windmill, Gotochi-style
If you are familiar with “Gotochi” cards in Japan (and Taiwan), you would understand why we call this one Gotochi-style. Though it is not quite as sturdy as the real thing, it is the same concept. The irregularly shaped card was mailed in 2013 with stamp and postmark. Grade: 1

Unused, very significantly aged postcard–this is really noticeable only on the reverse. As information, the KLM aircraft in the foreground (PH-DNC) is a DC-9-15, that later went to United Aviation Services, where it was scrapped. Grade: 3
