Hell’s Gate on the Frasier River (BC)
The point of this card is to display fish ladders allowing salmon to swim upriver to spawn. So we definitely don’t include this in our “Fishing” category! The postmark is only partly clear but we think this card was mailed in the 1970s; stamp and blue air mail sticker are there. Grade: 1

1000 Islands
This unused card looks so normal, until you read the caption, which seems like it wants you to believe all 1000 of those islands are in Canada. We don’t think that was the intention; just their description of Zavikon Island in particular. And as Wikipedia reveals that the 1000 Islands are actually 1864 islands, and very much straddling Canada and the USA, we leave you with the choice of which of those 1,864 islands you want to visit. Grade: 1

It was Le Meridien Vancouver when this (unused) card was printed, but changed names awhile back to The Sutton Place Hotel. Interesting to note that Meridien seems to have no properties in Canada at all as of right now. Grade: 1
