-
Midland, Martyrs’ Shrine
Not being quite certain what to say about this, we’ll give it our best shot: obtained in 1954, a miniature grouping of eight B&W real photos, each one 2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″, contained in a greeen cardboard folder that is falling apart and never been taped or repaired. These were meant to be taped and sent together as a souvenir. Best guess: Grade 1 for photos, 5 for cover.

Montreal, Universite de Montreal
An old, unused, and somewhat grim-looking real-photo card that makes the university look like an architect’s model. The 1960s card pre-dates computer-generated views but how in the world did they get the picture to look like this? Grade: 2
-
Montreal, University
This card did have an address on it at one time, because it was mailed (with a 4-cent stamp, and clearly postmarked) in 1966. But the address is gone. The story is worth more than the card. It was mailed (with stamp and postmark) to a USA address, and then forwarded to another, causing the large and full postmark on the front.
