Miami, Sun n Surf Motel
Not sure why, but we thought there would be many properties with this name, so we went to Google. Somewhat to our surprise, this one (still there) dominates the list. A card mailed in 1971, long message in tiny writing and with some extra writing in the address area. Stamp and Kennedy Space Center postmark. Grade: 3
-
Miami, Flamingos and Nests at Hialeah Park
Curteich-Chicago linen card OB-H218 (D.C. 27), in fact the same picture with two slightly different captions on two cards from two print runs. One was mailed in what looks like 1945, with 1-cent stamp and faint postmark (Grade: 2, $2) and the other is highly aged, but unused (Grade: 3, $1).

The Southernmost Point, Sea Shells for Sale
Oddly, the unused Curteichcolor card 0EK-328 (FK.160) doesn’t say exactly where this is. We know (Key West) but it just seems like a strange omission. And at $1 per shell, you know this is an older postcard. Grade: 1

Mailed in 1948, with 1-cent stamp and postmark. But it was to go to Canada, the postage wasn’t enough, so there is also a Canadian 2-cent Postage Due stamp and an extra rubber-stamp chop. At least Amelia agreed to pay! Hard to grade, it’s all postal, so we will call this Grade: 2
-
Daytona Beach Shores, Treasure Island Beach Lodge
When this card was mailed in 1975 (stamp and postmark are there), this property might have been something special. Our quick Google search shows that it turned into an “eyesore” and a debate was going on about what to do with the long-closed place. Grade: 1
