Boston Harbor, Bug Light
Careful, please! We have several different old Bug Light postcards, and they can all seem the same, but they’re not. For this particular card (which lacks the auxiliary structure off to the right, if you compare with 10122131, for example) we have three copies. The scan you see was published by New England News Company (#5215) and mailed from Boston in 1908 with stamp and full postmark (Grade: 2, $6). Another with the same photo and card number was mailed in 1910, also with stamp and postmark but with more ink transfer on the front (Grade: 3, $4). The third was mailed in 1911, again the same photo but yet another print run, less ink on the front, mailed in 1911 with stamp, postmark, and very detailed message (Grade: 3, $4).
