Atlantic City
About as generic as you can get for a gambling postcard. Mailed in 2013 with a round Global Forever stamp and readable postmark. Small sticker of a US$1 note on the back. Grade: 3
-
New Jersey, The Garden State
Here we go, your very own Garden State postcard. Mailed in 2013 with round Global Forever stamp, postmark, and address label affixed. The upper right corner angles in slightly, though that may just be how the card came off the press. Grade: 4
-
Atlantic City, Sand Artist at Work
Where to start in describing this … mailed in 1908. The Atlantic City postmark is clear enough, on the reverse, as well as what you can see in the scan as well. The stamp is all there too, wrapped around from front to back. And as for the photo, even given the era, we feel sorry for anyone who ever must wear a coat and tie to the beach, much less while working in the sand. Oh yes, one more thing: the message is in French. Grade: 4
-
Cape May, collage
Mailed in 2013 with a coloured meter stamp showing details of sale. Quite a lot of USPS barcoding at bottom reverse, though not disfiguring the card. Grade: 2
-

-
New Jersey State Reformatory
If you Google this, you come away not having a clue where (or even what) this facility is (or was). The unused 1977 card itself is no help, captioned only with what you see and with this header. So we’ll move on and leave the digging to you — so to speak. Grade: 1
-
Northern New Jersey, Autumn Pastoral Scene
An unused card from 1963 showing a scene facing the Delaware Water Gap and the Poconos. Grade: 1
-
Bridgeton, Horse Shoe Curve Raceway
Mailed in the 1910s with stamp and partial postmark. An obviously old and heavily handled postcard over the years, but equally obviously authentic! Grade: 2
