Greetings from Puerto Rico – LMM International Airport
Where to start? Well, this 4-7/8″ x 6-7/8″ card was mailed from France (not Puerto Rico!) with five stamps (four the same), postmark, and some barcoding. The front is clean, and the caption–instead of talking about the airport–has a recipe for Banana Daiquiris. See what we mean? Grade: 3
-
San Juan, International Airport Hotel
There’s a small premium for the sheer novelty of this card, which clearly started out in Puerto Rico but was actually mailed from French Guyana in 1956 with two French stamps (being a French territory) and full postmark. The card got to Los Angeles, has been heavily handled, and is now safe in Hong Kong. Until you buy it. Grade: 4
