Providence, multiple views
We’re thinking if you live in, or come from, Providence, you might want this. Not postally used, it has a message totally covering the reverse, from very long ago. The scenes are all identified, and may be too small to make out in the scan, so we will identify them for you: City Hall and Soldiers Monument; State Capitol; New Armory; Brown University; Central Fire Station; New Post Office; State Normal School; St. Francis Xaviers Convent; Westminster St.; Roger Williams Park; and St. Peter’s and Paul’s Cathedral. That’s a lot for one postcard. Grade: 4

Providence, Industrial Trust Building
You see the picture on this (mostly) unused card, and can’t help thinking, now that’s a building. And so it is/was. Wikipedia tells us: “Industrial National Bank Building, located at 111 Westminster Street (locally referred to as the Superman Building) is the tallest building in Providence, the tallest in Rhode Island, and the 28th tallest in New England at 428 feet (130 m) with 26 floors … the building has been vacant since April 2013.” It’s all that has gone on since then that makes it worth your time to do your own Google search. By the time you read this, maybe something will have happened and citizens of Providence can breathe again. We say “(mostly) unused” because the Providence Chamber of Commerce placed a slightly blurred rubber stamp of itself in the reverse. Grade: 2

Providence, Westminster Mall
This unused Plastichrome card’s (P68938) photo may not be the most effective representation of the area, but the card itself is fine. Not knowing Providence at all, we Googled to learn more about the area, and came up with so many articles leading in different directions that we just gave up. So, over to you. Grade: 1
