Mabry Mill, Blue Ridge Parkway
Thanks to Google, we know this Mill is in Virginia and was built in 1910, but this 1972 card sort of leads you to think it is in North Carolina, and the writer mailed it from Tennessee. Not to worry, it’s really in Virginia. Unless they’ve moved it. Mailed in 1979 with two stamps and Knoxville postmark. Grade: 2
-
Williamsburg, The Williamsburg Inn
An “Official Colonial Williamsburg Card” of “One of America’s discreetly luxurious hotels,” though not so discreet that it can’t be on a postcard. This one was mailed in 1994 with a 50-cent stamp but only part of a postmark. Grade: 3

Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, Loch Ness Monster
Billed as the “fastest, highest, longest steel coaster in the world,” at least when the card was printed, The Loch Ness Monster would definitely qualify as one we would watch from the ground. The card has one perforated edge, indicating it had been in a set. Mailed in the late 1980s, with one 33-cent stamp and airmail sticker, but indistinct postmark. Grade: 3
-
Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, LeScoot-Flume
