If you are collecting Masonic temple postcards, the front of this old (unused) one is as you see, but the back is very heavily stained and messy. Grade: 5

-
Wisconsin Dells, Stand Rock
Unused Curteichcolor card 5C-K2907. It’s easy to miss some of the elements of the card, notably the persons at the lower left, and then: what is that animal leaping from right to left across the rocks? Grade: 1
-
Wisconsin Dells, Stand Rock B195
This unused H.H. Bennett card B195 is so similar to our entry 10150139, but this one has a caption that explains everything: that’s a trained dog. (We can’t help but wonder how many dogs they had to train before they found one that could make the entire distance.) Grade: 1
-
Wisconsin Dells, The Baby Grand Piano
Unused Plastichrome card P2937, and you can compare this with our 10150107. Guess there are only so many ways to take the photo. Grade: 1

Wisconsin Dells, Chimney Rock
Unused Dexter Press “Dextone” card K-173-D-5 (45007), rounded corners. Grade: 2
-

-
Wausau, Rib Mountain
If you can’t read the sign clearly, it says Rib Mountain is “probably the highest elevation in Wsconsin”. The card pre-dates Google, so we will forgive the makers, but our own search has Rib Mountain at 1924′ but Timms Hill at 1952′. (Maybe the folks at Timms Hill did some renovation work?) Unused “local” card S-23948-1 (W-201). Grade: 1
-
Wausau, Grandfather Falls Rapids
Compare this card with our entry 10150146. They make an interesting pair. The base photos are almost identical–almost. In 10150145, flowers clearly appear on the right. In the other card, not so much. This card 145 has a caption, explaining that this is not in fact the Falls. The other card has no caption. Both cards come from E.C. Kropp. This one has reference number 19537N, and the other one has the number 19537. More to the point, card 145 has the legend “Cabinet Sample Oct 27 1943 12000 Off” stamped on the back, and card 146 says “Cabinet Sample May 10 1934 – 3900 Off,” with subsequent notations as they reduced their stock. All clear? ! This card: Grade: 4

Unused B&W card. Let’s tell you something about the town of Arbor Vitae, taken from their website:
“Arbor Vitae is located in Vilas County … Nestled in the deep north woods, Arbor Vitae is surrounded by hundreds of the country’s greatest lakes. With a population of approximately 3,200, the town’s population swells to nearly 10,000 during the summer months as vacationers from other states seek the beautiful outdoors of northern Wisconsin. The town of Arbor Vitae has a rich logging history dating back to the early 1800’s. More than 80% of the land area in and around Arbor Vitae is state owned and resources are strictly managed. Controlled logging still occurs today.”
Grade: 1
-
Waldo, Cedar Springs Trout Farm
Unused, heavily aged L.L. Cook card 24540. We got a real eyeful (and education) when we Googled this. Grade: 3
-
Wisconsin Dells, Demon’s Anvil
What makes this unmailed E.C. Kropp card unusual has nothing to do with the ghoulish caption but instead that this card was the “cabinet sample” from either the manufacturer or the distributor showing the total quantity available in April 1942, and subsequent stock movement. Tiny staple holes in the top attest to this. So despite the lower grade, there’s some novelty value. Grade: 4
-
