Curteichcolor card K-213 or 3C-K1247 from Faraway Farm in the 1960s, unused, of one of the USA’s most famous race horses. Grade: 1

Scenic and Historic Kentucky Kodachrome Series Curteichcolor card KY.70 (7C-K134), mailed in Kentucky in 1966 with 5-cent stamp and full postmark and ink transfer on the front. If only the cost of the card was tied to the price of gold. Grade: 3

You thought we put this under the wrong category? No, it’s not what you think it is. This “towering concrete obelisk, third highest in the United States, marks the birthplace of Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederate States of America,” and is 351′ high. Abraham Lincoln was born on 12th February 1809 in this cabin. The Curteich-Chicago linen card 7A-H3270 however was mailed from Buffalo, New York, in 1942 with stamp and full postmark. Grade: 2

Mailed in 1911 with stamp and two postmarks. As a side note, while the caption says this is the home of the first governor, it doesn’t say who this was. That would be Isaac Shelby, and not only was he the first Governor, he was also the fifth. Grade: 2
