Happily Never After (Hong Kong)
Sometimes we’d like to sit down with cards’ designers and ask them why they do things like use white printing on light grey background. But as that’s impractical, we will offer the end result instead. Three of these are here, from a 2010 performance. Grades: 1
-
HKFC International Soccer Sevens (Hong Kong)
Three cards are available, for this 2010 event. They were not meant to be posted in the usual manner. Grades: 1
-
Bücher Menschen
As far as we can tell, Bücher Menschen is a large German bookseller with shops in other European countries. Not certain about all that, but here’s a card from them, mailed in 2024 with large QR-coded stamp, indistinct postmark, and three completely different Airmail stickers. Grade: 1
-
2019 – 47th Hong Kong Arts Festival – Sao Paulo Symphony
This 6″ x 8-3/4″ card was mailed to Hong Kong residents using Hongkong Post’s bilingual pre-printed postage. Up there along with the imprint, where it says “Exempted,” that means even if a resident has chosen to opt-out of receiving advertising circulars, they are going to receive this one anyway. The other side of the card is similarly fully printed for Wagner’s Tannhauser. (Spoiled for choice!) Grade: 1
-

-
Sineokaya Vodka (Belarus)
On the front, this looks like a nicely designed card for a place. But Belarus Sineokaya is a well-known vodka, from Brest, and the reverse of the card bears an English-language logo and looks quite official. If we had any right here, right now, we would try it. Five unused cards are available. Grades: 1

by the sea tropical lifestyle – curl (Bali)
If you can’t have a tropical lifestyle in Bali, where can you have it? This chain has several branches in Bali.
