From a series of unused cards that don’t have captions. Because we live here in Hong Kong, we have filled in some of the gaps to let you know where the pictures were taken. This one, we’re not sure. Grade: 1

Sineokaya Vodka (Belarus)
On the front, this looks like a nicely designed card for a place. But Belarus Sineokaya is a well-known vodka, from Brest, and the reverse of the card bears an English-language logo and looks quite official. If we had any right here, right now, we would try it. Five unused cards are available. Grades: 1

Happy Hour (Hong Kong)
From a short-lived marketing campaign in 2015 driven by Swire in the Star Street area of Wanchai (“Starstreet Precinct,” Swire’s determination to compete with other nightlife areas), this card, similar to some others in our site — 20308802 being one example. The difference is that this card is unused. #BeAStarian! Grade: 1

Hong Kong Wine Vault
This 5-7/8″ x 8-1/4″ ad card was mailed to local residents in 2019 using Hongkong Post’s Chinese-language Circular postage imprint. Fully printed on both sides, the reverse shows various wines for sale, and a QR code. Grade: 1

See our comments for card 20431014. They apply here too, with this old card being significantly aged and stained on the reverse. And why is it listed under “Alcohol”? Check your mythology. Grade: 4

Mailed in 1983 with two stamps, bilingual airmail sticker, and postmark. Grade: 1

Souverain Cellars (California)
A winery in northern California, still there and evolving (according to Google), but this mailed card probably didn’t come from them since it has no contact details. Mailed in 1987, with stamp and clear postmark and airmail/address labels. Grade: 3

Frankfurt am Main, multiple views (Germany)
All eight views are identified on the front and in expanded form on the back of this unused card. These include the “MyZeil” Shoppingcenter (sic), and Cider in a special jug called Bembel. Something for everyone! Grade: 1

A sticker commemorating World Postcard Day (on 1st October) obliterates any other caption on the reverse, though stamp, postmark, and Priority label are there from 2024. Grade: 3
