Old Tucson (Arizona, USA)
Not to be misled by the caption, “Old Tucson” was a reconstruction of Tucson as it was in 1859, built apparently for the filming of the movie “Arizona.” Anyway, the caption explains all this. Card was mailed in 1967 with stamp and postmark. Some postmark ink transfer on the front. Grade: 2

Among my circle of friends, we used to joke along the lines of “Five points if you can identify where this is.” Well, for you — ten points! We’ve no idea, except that the card was mailed from PR China in 2013 with a large “stadium” stamp and full postmark. Grade: 1

Though we’ve listed another Doraemon set in the “Cinema” category, this one goes under “Manga” also, reflecting the character’s origins, and of course the amusement park. Our scan shows the cardboard cover and three of the 30 individual unused cards. Grade: 1

Mailed in 1963, this card has a 5-cent “Alliance for Progress” commemorative stamp, Buffalo postmark, and is starting to age. Grade: 2

Haw Par Villa (Singapore)
From the “Tourism 50 Post Card Series,” an ad card from 2014 whose caption gives instructions for mailing this at a special location and having a chance to win a lucky draw. The postmark is there, and a nice coloured postage meter label. By the way, meaning no disrespect by placing this in the “Amusement Parks” category, but if not that, then what? Grade: 1

Not so much an amusement park as a periodic fun fair, as one of several multiple views from Hamburg. Fifteen identified views on a card mailed in 2013, with stamp and postmark. Very small postal abrasion on right reverse edge. Grade: 2

La Plata, Pais de los Ninos (Argentina)
Wikipedia tells us: “The Republic of Children was built by Eva Perón Foundation on 52 hectares (130 acres) of land that was formerly a part of Swift Golf Club. On November 26, 1951, the park was officially opened by the then President Juan Domingo Perón. … According to the official website of the Republic of Children, in 1950 Walt Disney visited the park and, surprised by the beauty, was inspired to build Disneyland.” The things we learn by doing this. Unused, aged, 4-1/8″ x 7-1/4″ card whose Spanish caption explains the different sites. Grade: 3

Don’t be confused here. This card shows a replica of London, England’s, Tower Bridge as it is in Storybook Park of London, Ontario. Unused, noticeably aging Plastichrome card P69055 has perforated upper and lower edges. Grade: 2
