Issued by Pan American Airlines, this unused card describes the two different “luxurious” (President) and “low-cost” (Rainbow) services Hong Kong enjoyed.  An iconic card from the jewel in Pan Am’s empire.  Grade: 1

Mailed in 2012, this card has a stamp and Sevastopol postmark.  Grade: 1

Hong Kong Post issued these sets of four cards in 2012.  Each set commemorates a different festival:  Tuen Ng (Dragon Boat), The Birthday of the Buddha, Kwun Yum, and Tin Hau.  Each card has pre-printed airmail postage corresponding to the card’s design, good for anywhere in the world.  We have four unused sets available, all in their original cello-wrap, and here is how they are different from each other:  Two sets have no postmarks (Grades: 1, $22).   One set has a special “Hong Kong Philatelic Bureau” postmark on each card, with date of issue (Grade: 1, $28).  One set has a special “Hong Kong Festivals” postmark, also on each card and also with date of issue (Grade: 1, $28).

Nice contemporary card with three stamps (one of them, a lighthouse) and full postmark.  Grade: 2

The front of this card is OK but the reverse had been pasted into an album and disqualifies the card as anything other than Grade: 5

Sub-captioned “Beautiful river in Bangladesh,” unused Azad Products (Pvt) Lts. card with some smudging on the reverse.  Grade: 2

Unused L.L. Cook card 43117-B (and 165Z) dated 1961.  Neither the lighthouse nor the ship are named.  Grade: 1

Here’s what we know for sure about this postcard:  unused, real-photo.  The reverse says  “Photo Post Card” and “Kodak Paper” at the stamp area.  Someone has pencilled “Repro” under the original price.  We’re guessing.  Grade: 2

Nice, uncaptioned Finnish card of a somewhat un-Finnish scene.  Mailed in 2012 with a Moomin stamp and postmark, and Priority label and a small Finnish flag sticker affixed.  Grade: 3

We’ve been here many times over many years but it has never looked this empty–so we know this is an older card, unused Curteichcolor 4DK-1382 (and D.615).  Grade: 1

Unused L.L. Cook card 51269.  Aged a bit.  Grade: 2

A lot going on in this otherwise placid Nani Li’i Natural Color Card S-523:  did you know that Lahaina, Maui, was once Capital of the Hawaiian Islands?  The ship Carthaginian is berthed near the Lighthouse in front of the Pioneer Inn.  Card dates from sometime after 1951.  We don’t know how much, if any, of this area survived the wildfires of August 2023.  Grade: 1

Mailed in 1959 with two different stamps, postmark, and blue trilingual Luftpost sticker.  Serrated edges.  Grade: 2

The scan shows two of the four cards in each set, printed in 2012 and issued by the Action Committee for Defending the Diaoyu Islands.  The other two cards show persons with flags landing on the islands, and a horizon view of one island.  For a number of reasons, and we hope you can guess why, we suggest you do your own research into the background of this sensitive issue.  Three sets are available.  Grades: 1
