Sagamore Bridge and Cape Cod Canal, Massachusetts (ERROR CARD)
Unused, old linen Curteich-Chicago card 8A-H2913. The front is as you see in the photo. The reverse, however, is mis-registered, printed upside down, and has a caption for the RCA Building in Rockefeller Center in New York City. There is also the red outline on the reverse of another apparent error. Clearly this happened during a switch in print runs. Hard to grade accurately, but for what it is, we give it Grade: 1

The caption on the reverse of this card mailed in 2011 is in six languages, of which the English reads: First metro bridge over Moscow-river. 1937. The photo is newer than that, though. One stamp, nearly full Moscow postmark. Grade: 1

This card was issued by PR China’s State Postal Bureau, has a pre-printed stamp, a large additional stamp, a full postmark, and assorted other indications on the reverse. There is no doubt whatsoever that if you can read Chinese, you will know all about this photo, and this card. Grade: 3

Thailand Post issues cards with postage prepaid on the reverse, in this case a 6-baht imprint almost the same as the front of the card. So it’s not quite a maximum card. Card says this is “The First Friendship Mekong Bridge,” probably used mostly for visa runs. Instructions for postal use in Thai and English. Unused. Grade: 1
