Card was made in 1987 and mailed in 1996, with two stamps and full Phoenix postmark. There’s a bit of edge and corner creasing but generally the card is in good shape and we do wonder how people made it up (or down) there. Grade: 2

Yes, that’s the spelling on the caption of this 1968 B&W WAC 109 vintage postcard. Unused, unmarked, undamaged apart from slight aging on reverse. Grade: 1

Osu Castle (Accra, Ghana)
Two B&W cards are available. They date from 1968. Both were mailed from Accra. One has four stamps but no legible postmark; minor edge abrasions but not damaged otherwise (Grade: 1, $14). The other has two stamps but postmarks again are not legible and there is significant crumpling around the edges and corners (Grade: 3, $8).

Card WAC1 dates from 1968 but this view goes back much further than that. Never mailed, and only the most minor of corner abrasion. Grade: 2

Crusaders Castle of St. Gilles, Tripoli (Lebanon)
This card reproduces an 1837 engraving by Bartlett and Starling. Never mailed, it came from Middle East Airlines in the mid-1970s. One perforated edge suggests it was part of a larger group. Aging but undamaged. Grade: 2

This card of Berbie Castle and the river Tarn was mailed from Paris in 1997 and has two colourful stamps and full postmark; also some postmark smudging and a bit of edge abrasion on the front. Grade: 3

Pfalz Castle (Germany)
In about 1990 this card, which also shows Pfalz Castle, was mailed in Malaysia (not Germany!) with a Malaysian stamp and illegible postmark. It is aging quite a bit on the reverse, and has some white correction fluid too. But the front is OK! Grade: 3

Old Town, Warsaw
Two cards are available, 4-3/4″ x 6-5/8″. They date from 2000. One is unused (Grade: 1, $5) while one was mailed, has two stamps, readable postmark, blue airmail sticker affixed, and also a big white strip with orange postal barcode across the front, courtesy of the US Postal Service (Grade: 4, $3). By the way, one of the restaurants in that location was distinctly unfriendly.

Somewhat gothic in appearance, this card makes us want to visit Beaufort. We are a little bit dark, anyway. Card was mailed with a (cancelled) 13-cent stamp, but no legible postmark. Grade: 2

The caption on the back of this card, mailed in 1970 from Tampa with a 5-cent stamp, says “The Castle’s medieval restaurant will overlook Fantasyland …” so we know for sure this card is a preview of things to come. Grade: 2
