Hong Kong Disneyland (set of 5)
Not to be confused with our other sets of three cards, this is a (scarcer) set of five, in its original wrap. We have scanned the back instead of the front–and deleted the original retail price–because it shows miniatures of all five cards. Very iconic Hong Kong, indeed, and hard to get. Grade: 1
-
Magic Kingdom Park, Space Mountain Attraction (Florida, USA)
Mailed in 2013 with Global Forever stamp and blue USPS Airmail label, this card has a readable Hartford postmark. As the card was once part of a linked set, two edges are perforated. Grade: 1
-
Anaheim Disneyland, Mickey in Fantasyland
Mailed in 1964, with stamp and full postmark, this card has a part of the lower right corner missing. Grade: 4
-
Greetings from Disneyland (Anaheim, USA)
This is one of the very unusual cards that fits into many of our theme categories, so you might see the same card several times. (Sorry about that!) But what a nice card, mailed in 1972 with 6-cent stamp and Anaheim postmark. We would like to repeat the caption in its entirety: “Guests entering Disneyland are greeted by a floral Mickey Mouse and the Santa Fe and Disneyland Depot where a scaled-down model of a passenger train of another era puffs out of the station to take them on a scenic tour of Disneyland.” Official card. Grade: 2
-
Walt Disney World, Cinderella Castle, Fantasyland (Florida)
Official card, mailed in 1971 with 6-cent stamp and multiple but incomplete postmarking. The front is very clean. Grade: 2
-
Groetjes uit “Fryslan”! (Netherlands)
You might compare this with our previous entry 36600042, but this one is not a maximum card. It’s mailed in 2013 with three stamps, full postmark, and Priority label. Official Disney postcard, dated 2012. Some postmark ink transfer on the front sail. Grade: 2
-
Mickey Mouse
Two of these official Butlers Disney cards are available, both posted from Germany. One has three different stamps and illegible postmark, along with trilingual Priority label; it bounced around in the postal system a bit, but because of the way the card was designed and made, this is hard to tell (Grade: 2, $4). The other has only one stamp but a large, clear postmark and no other label (Grade: 1, $4).
-
Donald, The Rodeo (3D)
Official Toppan Top Stereo official Disney card PS-202, marked “Exclusive Sale for Europe,” and mailed from Germany with stamp, clear postmark, and trilingual Luftpost label affixed. The lenticular 3D motion effect shows Donald riding his horse and then being thrown onto a cactus. Very minor separation on extreme lower left corner. Grade: 2
-
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (Netherlands)
Clearly designed for the Dutch market (see the design elements) and mailed from Holland in 2013 with stamp and postmark, but also the sender somehow felt compelled to put lots of other stickers and labels on the back. Grade: 4
-
Winnie the Pooh character (Finland)
Official Disney licensed card 061280, made in and mailed from Finland with stamp, faint postmark, and Priority label. Grade: 1
-
Lady and the Tramp
If only that postmark wasn’t there, but we can’t control everything. The official Disney card was mailed from Finland in 2013, with stamp and Helsinki postmark, along with Priority label. Grade: 4
-
California Disney
From The Postcard Factory (PC57-WD-CAL 218) and mailed in 2013 with Global Forever stamp and readable postmark. Orange postal barcoding on bottom front. Grade: 2
-
Day and Night, 2010 Pixar (Disney) film frame

-
Daisy Duck (Belgium)
This is official Disney Coloprint – Nivelles – Belgium – 19 077/4 (113658) (0053597310) (yes, all of that) but mailed from Finland (not Belgium) in 2013 with Priority label and uncancelled stamp. Grade: 4
-
Tinker Bell
We do not guarantee that this is a real postcard: though it was mailed as one (from Netherlands, with uncancelled stamp and two Priority labels), unusually there is no captioning or attribution. Please note this. Grade: 5
-
Vacationland, Summer 1959 – front cover (not a postcard)
From time to time, you might have seen that we will include other items closely related to postcards. This is one of those times. Vacationland was published by Anaheim Disneyland, has 20 pages of features, photos, ads (even for Knott’s Berry Farm!) and was meant to be a general guide to fun in the Southern California sun, with special focus on Disneyland. This magazine is intact and in good condition considering the age, unmarked. Special postage rate will apply, at cost. If it was a postcard, we would give it Grade: 2+.
-
Vacationland, Summer 1959 – back cover (not a postcard)
See 36600058A for full description.
-
Tom Sawyer Island pamphlet – one side (not a postcard)
Another non-postcard item, this single-sheet pamphlet was published by Anaheim Disneyland in 1957. Scans 059A and 059B show both sides. A small black remnant of an album hinge is stuck to the top middle of the side with text (you can see it in the scan). It’s aging but not torn. If it was a postcard, we would assign Grade: 3
-

A small black remnant of an album hinge is stuck to the top middle of the side with text (you can see it in the 59A scan). It’s aging but not torn. If it was a postcard, we would assign Grade: 3
-
Anaheim Disneyland – First Time Visitors (not a postcard)
Another not-a-postcard item: single-sheet folded pamphlet, undated but from the late 1950s when the most an adult could pay to enter the Park and gain admission to 15 of the 47 Disneyland attractions was $4.50. Scans 60A and 60B show both sides. Once folded in half, with consequent abrasion. If this was a postcard, we would give it Grade: 3.
-
Anaheim Disneyland – First Time Visitors – other side (not a postcard)

-
Walt Disney World Steam Railroad (Florida)
We weren’t able to find an indirect listing for this card from the Nickel Tour book, so we use eBay as a guide. The card was mailed in 1973 with two stamps and postmark. Aging very slightly, and with minor postal bumping on the corners. Grade: 2
-
Monsters, Inc. (Pixar)
Concept art of this Disney production, on a card mailed from the USA in 2013 with round Global Forever stamp and postmark, but also significant postal abrasions on the reverse. Grade: 4
-
Anaheim Disneyland, Old Dobbin
We did a cursory Google search and all the other Old Dobbin cards we found were horizontal, while this one has a vertical layout. The main caption says “Journey through the ‘Good Old Days'”. The card was mailed in 1980, with 10-cent stamp and partial postmark, and slight staining on the reverse. Grade: 2
-
Slide (Netherlands)
No printing at all (from the manufacturer) on the reverse, though this card was mailed from Netherlands in 2013 with stamp and postmark. We always wonder how this can happen, though deep down, we know. Grade: 2
-
Groetjes uit Utrecht! (Netherlands)
Not a typical Disney postcard, but an official “Donald Duck” one. Made in 2012, mailed in 2013, with three stamps, postmark, and bilingual blue Priority label. Unusual and a great addition to any Disney collection. Grade: 1
-
Disney-related school supplies (PR China)
Where to start … issued by PRC’s State Postal Bureau in 2000, this unused card has pre-printed Beijing 2008 Olympics postage. They were really planning ahead, and we had to go to Beijing to get this. Some smudging on the back but a genuine prize for Disney collectors. Grade: 2
-
Snow White, sleeping (PR China)
Unused card from the Chinese Government, long before Disney announced they would build a park in Shanghai. There’s a long caption, all in Chinese, and this was card #4 in a series. Compare with our entry 36600070. Looking a bit tired on the back, but still clean and unmarked. Grade: 2
-
Snow White, and witch (PR China)
Unused card from the Chinese Government. There’s a long caption, all in Chinese, and this was card #3 in a series. Compare with our entry 36600069. Often handled over the years, as it’s straight from Beijing. Grade: 3
-
Tokyo Disneyland, Fantillusion

-
Walt Disney World, Cinderella Castle – Fantasyland (Florida)
Not postally used, this is an official WDW card from Dexter Press, 79906-C. It has an extensive message inked into the entire reverse. Grade: 4

Official card (the bar code reads 6 00005 49763 6 as reference), mailed with a round “Global Forever” stamp in 2013, with postmark. Grade: 2
-
Hong Kong Disneyland (set of 3) (3D)
We waited a long time for these, and were not certain they would ever appear. It’s an (unused) set of three 3D cards (lenticular printing) showing stylised Hong Kong scenes. You already know that 3D cards don’t scan very well, but we show the fronts of all three, and the typical reverse of one. In the original packaging. Grade: 1
-
Euro Disney – Parade
Official card, mailed from Netherlands in 2014 with three stamps (it’s hard to tell; you’ll see) and Priority label. Faint postmark, but it’s there. Grade: 1
-
Royal Living: Snow White (Maximum Card) (Japan)
This remarkable maximum card has a gorgeous postmark, official Disney Japan. It was mailed in 2014, with two stamps on the back, and faint “normal” postmark and trilingual blue Air Mail label, as well as a very large “Disney Animated Classics” sticker of Snow White on the reverse. We think this sticker was not part of the original card, so we assign: Grade: 4
-
Antigua & Barbuda “Epcot Center” stamp (Czech Republic)
Do not let us confuse you. This postcard was made in the Czech Republic, and mailed from there in 2014 with two stamps and postmark. It’s captioned in Czech, and that probably explains why or how this card even exists but we’ll leave it to you to translate. Small abrasions around front edges. Grade: 2

A German ad card for the film, captioned on the back “Gehst du Mit?” (“Are you going with?”) and mailed in 2013 with three stamps and faint postmark. Grade: 2

Mickey and Donald fishing (Czech/Slovak)
This appears to be an unused, official Disney card (with a bar code in the postage area; also reference numbers 44, and Y 002) jointly made by Czech and Slovak companies. It has a similar but smaller printed cartoon of the boat and characters on the back. Grade: 1
-
Disneyland Paris
Mailed from Germany (not France) in 2014 with stamp, postmark, and Air Mail sticker. Grade: 1
