Proudly mailed in 1975 by a very, very young child, from Green Bay with a mostly-legible postmark and an 8-cent Eisenhower stamp. It’s the Wisconsin & Yesterday R.R. Serious abrasions on front, so space filler only. Grade: 5

Card from Hanoi, mailed from Malaysia in 2000 with two stamps heavily and unreadably postmarked. A blue airmail sticker in French and Malay is affixed, and over all of that–black bar coding. Grade: 4

San Francisco, Grant Avenue street scene
From Cardinal Vincent Co., their card 108393 with a Grant Avenue street scene in Chinatown. Unmailed card, a little battered around the edges but definitely for anyone building an Asiana collection from the USA. Grade: 3

Actually, the full name: International Settlement (Old Barbary Coast). Linen card from 1940s, published by Smith News Co. 18769 (also SF22), unused. Grade: 1

Greetings from Malaysia
The multiple views are all in Kuala Lumpur but the card was mailed in Perak with stamp and very large postmarks on reverse and front (which, for this card only, we don’t consider to be a flaw). The writer may not have been familiar with postcards as he put his own address where the recipient’s should have gone, so someone in the post office (?) drew a big red arrow to guide the postman. Altogether, this card, Grade: 2

Distant view of Mt. Kinabalu (Sabah, Malaysian Borneo)
Two S.W. Singapore cards KK8146 are here. One was mailed in 1991, Sabah stamp, very faint postmark, orange postal bar coding, and lots of minor creasing. The other was mailed in 1990 with Sabah stamp, slightly better postmark, and corner creasing. Both would be Grades: 3 ($2.50).

Amphibian tank produced in USSR (Israel)
This 1974 Isranof card was never mailed. It has very minor edge and corner abrasions on front. Reverse is basically perfect. Grade: 2

If there were “lines” on this 1974 Palphot 8746 card, you could read between them, though you do need a sense of history. Unused, minor edge abrasions on front, and beginning to age a bit on reverse. Grade: 2

Terrific unused map of Ontario, published (and dated) 1965 by Dexter Color Canada (4610-C). The card has serrated edges and is absolutely as-new. Grade: 1

Mailed card has the stamp and a clear 1963 postmark but those are the only good things about it. Major stains, abrasions, and folds. Grade: 5

Dexter Press card DT-75799-Bm dated 1964 of the Secretariat, never mailed. Front has very tiny corner folds; reverse has a minor stain at top. Grade: 2

Card was mailed in Malaysia (not Kuwait!) in 1986. Stamp is there, but postmark is only partly legible. Some edge abrasion and corner crunching are visible; reverse is heavily mottled with age. Grade: 4

Folio of 30 cards, produced in Hong Kong in the late 1990s, still in original plastic shrink wrap. Sorry, we don’t know what the photos are but we imagine they are….scenery in and around Beijing! Grade: 1 (We must verify availability)

The Fair is still going strong, many years after this 1970s photo. Two cards are available. One is unused (Grade: 2, $4.50) and the other was mailed from Guangzhou in 1978, with a stamp and full postmark (Grade: 1, $9)

The caption calling Shanghai “the most busiest international harbour in Orient” may not be strictly true now, but anyone who has seen the city in the past few years cannot dispute that it is “the most” in many ways. Unused card, superb condition. Grade: 1
