Amphibious Bicycle (Greetings from Ireland)
Doesn’t seem like it would, but this card fits into several of our categories. Two similar cards are available. One is unused and has “Greetings from Ireland” in 13 languages on the reverse (Grade: 1, $4). The other must have been from a different print run, as it was mailed in 2013 with minimal caption, three stamps, partial postmark, blue Air Mail sticker, and orange postal bar coding, along with abrasion on upper right front (Grade: 4, $1).

Just about everything you could hope for in a contemporary Croatian postcard. This was mailed in 2011, with stamp and full postmark, and a blue airmail sticker in four languages. The area occupied by that palm tree is cut-out. Grade: 1

G.N. Morhig card, though if there is a reference number printed on the card, we can’t find it. This is about as exotic as postcards get, and though it was not postally used, and has the written message on the reverse, it is a superb, early “Greetings from” card and worth this price. Grade: 4

Greetings from Ireland, multiple views
A card for many categories, mailed in 2011 with coloured E0.82 metered postage label, Priority label, and a Santa Claus sticker. Apart from the bar, it also shows Kilkenny Castle (from the 12th century) and Jerpoint Abbey. Someone has also rubber-stamped the logo of a fish on the reverse. Very busy. Grade: 4

Greetings from Puerto Rico – LMM International Airport
Where to start? Well, this 4-7/8″ x 6-7/8″ card was mailed from France (not Puerto Rico!) with five stamps (four the same), postmark, and some barcoding. The front is clean, and the caption–instead of talking about the airport–has a recipe for Banana Daiquiris. See what we mean? Grade: 3

Gruss vom Airport Frankfurt (Germany)
An older card, and while we might have thought they would show a Lufthansa flight and not Aerolineas Argentinas, it’s fine with us. This was mailed in 2012 from Ukraine (not Germany!) with four stamps and Kiev postmark. Some postal handling is evident, but this is about as international as any postcard can get. Grade: 3

Greetings from Portland, Maine
This is Chisholm Bros. card “G No. 33”, showing Rustic Bridge in Deering Park. Mailed in 1904, it has the stamp and two postmarks–one from Portland and one from Jamaica, NY two days later. This is an excellent example of a very old “Greetings from” postcard. Grade: 1

We wish we could put this up for sale in an exclusive Rodeo Drive bric-a-brac shop and sell it for $900, but who knows, maybe someone will find it and do just that. This very old card is unused but has an (equally old) 1-cent stamp on it, ready to add the additional $1.04 needed for international mailing now. Grade: 3
