London, The Guildhall (sic)
Unused, aging Valentine’s Series card 40891. We do not know of Guildhall ourselves, but are admonished by online sources not to use “The” as this postcard does. Maybe it was correct at the time? Grade: 1

Providence, Atheneum. Private Library and Drinking Fountain (Rhode Island, USA)
This card is proof that there were postcard clubs in 1912, when it was mailed. Stamp and postmark are there. We very much hope that Louisa enjoyed a long and productive exchange with Lynn. It’s a very nice old card. Grade: 1
-
New Haven, Free Public Library (Connecticut, USA)
Another of our library postcards, mailed a long time ago, and the stamp and partial postmark are there. Grade: 2

Shenzhen (PR China), multiple attractions (set of four)
Kindly get your coffee and relax because this description may take awhile. It’s a set of four unused cards, each measuring 4″ x 11-5/8″, so they are well oversized. The red paper wrap identifies this China Post product, from 2018, and our scan shows the front of one card (the other three are similar but with different places) and the reverse of another. All cards have pre-printed, coloured postage and a kind of “shadow” graphic further identifying most of what’s on the front. Clearly these cards fit many of our categories–in fact, they set the record–because Shenzhen is a city of about 15 million people and has everything, including an impressive library. So, if you have any questions about these incredible Shenzhen postcards, please ask us. Grades: 1
-
Sir Robert Ho Tung Library (Macau)
Mailed in 2019, with stamp and full postmark. Grade: 1
-
Kazan (Russia) (set of 18) – National Library (not postcards)
You can unfold the cover, remove the cards, see the fronts, and it is only when you turn them over that you see the reverses are fully printed (in Russian) with details of what they show. So, yes, they are unused; and no, you could not mail them as postcards in the usual way. But they are the right size and shape, and deserve listing here anyway. This set also marks the most different theme categories for any one entry, so there’s that. Inside, a card of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan. Grade: 1
-
Libraries of Macau II (set of 4) (Maximum Cards) (Macau)
This unused set of four maximum cards (CTT reference BPL 272-275, issued in 2021) gets everything right: full maximum, clear design, and specific libraries identified in Chinese and Portuguese in the captions. Grade: 1
-
Tokyo, The Diet Library
Unused, older card in excellent condition. Grade: 1
-
Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Library (Malaysia)
If you collect global library postcards, you can hardly do better than this one: mailed in 1979, with Sabah stamp and postmark. Grade: 1
-
Madison, University of Wisconsin, State Historical Library (USA)
Mailed in 1909, with stamp and clear Madison postmark, as well as some postmark ink transfer on the front. Even so, a nicely aged library postcard. Grade: 2
-
Madison, State Historical Library (USA)
Here’s C.T. Art-Colortone unmailed linen card 3A-H323 (117), with “1936” penciled on the reverse. That looks about right. We know from earlier cards that this building is on the University campus, but, exceptionally, this old postcard doesn’t say so. Grade: 2
-
Madison, State Historical Library (USA)
Unused. Grade: 1
-
At the Library
The card’s caption is our header … unused, self-produced by Cristina Harabagiu in Romania. Grade: 1
-
București, multiple views (Romania)
Artwork on this card shows the famous Palatul Parlamentului, the Arch of Triumph, the Monument of Karol I, University library, and CEC Palace. Those five are according to the caption. Yes, we know there are only four drawings. The card was mailed from Canada (not Romania!) in 2023, with two uncancelled stamps. Grade: 4
-
Taipei, National Taiwan University, Library
Unused card, captioned almost entirely in Chinese. Grade: 1
-
