Portland Head (Maine, USA)
Two of these Portland News Co./Curteichcolor cards 7C-K1857 showing a 1960s view of the “first established beacon light upon the New England coast,” back to 1791, are available. One is unused (Grade: 1, $3). The other was mailed from Maine in 1971 with 8-cent stamp, full postmark, and a bit of water on the message (Grade: 3, $2).

Unmailed linen card showing this old lighthouse and the skyline of Nantucket. It’s Tichnor card 75313, never mailed but it was folded in half and also has a travel agency rubber stamp on the reverse. Best use for this card would be framed along with other lighthouse cards. Grade: 4

One of our nicest lighthouse cards, yet if you Google this you will see the card, the scene, and the description have controversy attached. No matter, it’s a great card–unmailed but with an extensive long-ago message on the reverse. Reichner Brothers card 1284, made in Germany. Grade: 4

Port Dickson (Malaysia)
Rare addition for collectors of lighthouse cards, and yes, Malaysia has more than one. Here there are three cards available, mailed in 1991, one with full postmark (Grade: 1, $6) and two with partial marks (Grades: 2, $5.50).

Kuala Selangor (Malaysia)
Allow some reminiscing. It used to be a terrific Sunday drive through rural areas to reach this lighthouse, see all the monkeys, and eat in the local “gerai makan.” No doubt the lighthouse is still there but we doubt the experience would be the same. This card was mailed in 1991 with a Negeri Sembilan stamp and full postmark, and will be a wonderful addition to anyone’s collection of lighthouse postcards. Grade: 1

Guia Fortress lighthouse, World Cultural Heritage, Macau (folio)
Hard-to-find folio, in original shrink-wrap, of 25 unused cards showing key attractions of this small Special Administrative Region. The historic centre of Macau entered the World Heritage List on 15 July 2005 as the 31st such site in China. The reverse of this folio lists the contents of all 25 cards, including the lighthouse. Grade: 1

This card we think sets a record for fitting into the greatest number of different categories on this website: Canada, fishing, greetings, lighthouse, and boat.
