La Habana, El Morro (Cuba)
Not sure if this card was mailed or not. It has a large and colourful pre-printed “postage paid” stamp in the right area, and there’s a message and address but no postmark. There is however some tape on the right reverse edge. Grade: 4
-

Similar to preceding cards, this has pre-printed postage but no postmark, though message and address are there. A very small piece of clear tape on the top edge of the reverse. Grade: 4

Cerro y Faro de Montevideo (Uruguay)
It will be hard to find a nicer lighthouse postcard. This Florensa & Lafon card was mailed to Brasil in 1949, with two different stamps, and postmark. Yes, it’s heavily aged, adding significantly to the character. Grade: 3
-

Things have changed a lot for the Hilton Barbados Resort since this (unused) card came out, though we don’t know when that was. The card R26495 has aged significantly but is otherwise clean. Grade: 2

-
Kaohsiung, multiple views (group of 11) (Taiwan)
Here’s an exceptional value if you are collecting island-shaped Taiwanese cards. We’re calling this “group of 11” instead of “set of 11” because we suspect there might be one card missing. The scan shows a cardboard cover and some of the individual cards inside, all unused and all representing Kaohsiung or the immediate area. Grades: 1
-

Plastichrome card P310402, not postally used but with an inked notation in the reverse message area. Grade: 4

Cape Pembroke Lighthouse (Falkland Islands)
Little extra comment: we don’t know how many lighthouses there are in the world–nobody does–or how many lighthouse postcards there are, either. We have spent some time trying to build a fair representation of them, and were very happy to find this one. Actually we have two of these cards. One is unused (Grade: 1, $8) and the other–very special to us–was mailed from Stanley in 2016 with stamp and clear postmark. Corner creasing from being in transit, on the lower left (Grade: 2, $14).

See entry 34000629A for details. Here are four of the 12 cards in the set.
-
Taiwan?
This card was produced in Taiwan by a Department of Geography, but the Chinese-only caption doesn’t identify it. If one of our Taiwanese friends knows which lighthouse this is, and wants to tell us, we’ll fix the listing! Two of these unused cards are available. Grades: 1

Mailed in 2018, with $2.50 stamp and postmark. Minor postal creasing. Grade: 2
-
We (heart) Macau, and Guia Lighthouse
Unused card still in its original cellowrap. And a bit unusual, for saying “We” instead of “I”. We want to make it clear that the “Macau” sticker on the upper right is part of the wrapper, not a stamp, and not on the postcard. Grade: 1
-
I (heart) Macau, and Guia Lighthouse
Unused card still in its original cellowrap. We want to make it clear that the “Macau” sticker on the upper right is part of the wrapper, not a stamp, and not on the postcard. Grade: 1
