Oatman (Arizona)
Postmark is a little indistinct but it looks like the Colorado River Series card was mailed in 1988, with two intact stamps. Grade: 2
-
Jamestown (California)
“Gateway to the Mother Lode and Southern Mines.” Catchy! Colorscope card SE-239 mailed in 1991 with two stamps and full postmark. Little bit of postmark smudge and normal, minor postal creasing on front. Grade: 2
-

-
Main and Eureka Streets (Central City, Colorado)
This unused card is probably from the 1960s and we idly wonder how much the view has changed since then. After all, it’s supposed to be historic. The card is becoming historic! Great condition, Cooper Post Card Co. card 460 (and ODK-1347), nearly as-new. Grade: 1 -
Tama (Iowa)
We believe the card itself is newer than the picture, but not by that much, as it was mailed in 1970 (somewhat indistinct postmark) with a 6-cent Roosevelt stamp. Only a person from Iowa could write such a clever message. Minor postal battering on lower right corner. Grade: 2
-
East side, Main Street, Roland (Iowa, USA)
This unused card comes from Iowa Calendar Co. of Marshalltown, and is one of the very, very few cards on this site where we will let sentiment interfere with reality. Roland is a charming small town even now, utterly rich with an exceptionally colourful past for such a remote place. Go, visit, and buy lefse in the grocery store. What a town. We’ve been there often. Grade: 2
-
Annapolis, Maryland
Larger (4-5/8″ x 6-3/4″) card, mailed in 1999 to Hong Kong using an affixed postage meter label. The front looks OK apart from one dent; the reverse is frankly a mess but the writer had fun preparing it. Grade: 5
-

Being more precise, this unused card shows the Prospector Souvenir and Western Clothing store. Grade: 3

Unused H.S. Crocker card ES-35. Grade: 2

Fourth Street looking west from Main (Los Angeles)
Very early 20th-century unused card from Edw. H. Mitchell (#1707) in San Francisco. There’s a faint red caption on bottom front, advising that this view is of Fourth Street looking west from Main in L.A. It’s a lovely old card, well worth collecting and framing. Heavily aged on reverse. Grade: 2
-
Main Road, Taiping (Malaysia)
Heavily aged and mailed in 1991, with a Perak stamp and much but not all of a postmark. Grade: 3-

Unused Curt Teich linen card 4A-H446 from Strom’s News Agency. A quieter time. Grade: 1
-
Ste-Anne-de-Beaupre (Canada)
Mailed in 1947, this card is heavily creased and the stamp is abraded but the postmark is readable and we’re guessing it’s not a card you’ll find every day. Grade: 4
-

Unused “Main Street” card, with minor abrasions. Grade: 2
-

Unused linen Curteich-Chicago C.T. Art-Colortone card 3B-H1567. How many cards tell you how wide Main Street is? Grade: 1
-
Spartanburg, South Carolina (USA)
Tichnor linen card 75150, heavily aged and handled over the years. Mailed in 1945 with sending and receiving postmarks (three days apart) but no stamp, and there is a good reason for that: the writer, a U.S. soldier, was entitled to mail the card for free, and so he did, writing “Free” in the stamp area. Grade: 3
-
Brattleboro, Vermont (USA)
This postcard’s focus is on the Plaza and National Headquarters of the Holstein-Friesian Association of America. Unused Dexter Press card 15059-B. Grade: 2
-
Clovelly, High Street (England)
Unused “Domino” Series real photo card. Grade: 1
-
Muncie, Main Street Looking East (Indiana, USA)
This would be a nice old and unused card except for the upper right corner, where it looks like someone took a bite out of the card. Accordingly, it probably will appeal only to collectors of “Main Street” postcards. Grade: 5
-

Unused but aging old Crown Color Views card 38256 (and 266-M). Grade: 3

Mailed in 2014, with stamp, postmark, and even a QR Code so you can learn all about the city. Grade: 1
-
Minocqua, Main Street (Wisconsin, USA)
The problem with this unused “local” card is that the printing mis-registered, so the issue is with the card itself and not the scan. Going solely on the condition of the card, Grade: 2
-
Brookings, South Dakota (USA)
Mailed in 1959, L.L. Cook card 16470 (273-R) from 1955, with slightly abraded 3-cent stamp and full postmark. Grade: 2
-

Exceptionally, a better caption in English than in Portuguese, on this aging, unused vintage postcard. Grade: 2-
-
Main Street of Estes Park, Colorado (USA)
Mailed in 1965 with a 5-cent stamp and postmark, the front of this card is good but the reverse has some water stains that have blurred the message a bit. Still, it’s a passable “Main Street postcard”. Grade: 3
-
Little Rock, Main Street Looking North (Arkansas, USA)
This Curteich-Chicago linen card 2A-H1037 looks like it was mailed in 1939. Stamp and much of the postmark are there. We hope Ms. T got her material safely. Grade: 1

Unused Mike Roberts “Alaska Color Card” C317, with minor edge abrasions along the bottom. Grade: 2
