Los Angeles, Olympic Hotel
Unused C.T. Art-Colortone card 0B-H362. When this vintage postcard was printed, it must have been a decent place. Our Google search turned up later reviews that made it sound like Hell on Earth. Not so sure what it is now — something is there. The card, though, is great, and iconic for its genre. Grade: 1

Hong Kong
We had great fun trying to nail down the date this unused ad card from Jetway Express Ltd. might have been designed. It still shows the old HSBC HQ in Central, so that makes it pre-1985. Though there are many other clues, we’ll leave those to you. Grade: 1
-
Giudad (sic) Trujillo, Hotel Jaragua (Dominican Republic) (not a postcard)
So many changes. Keep reading! First, the city name of course now is Santo Domingo. Second, the hotel name is now Renaissance Jaragua Hotel and Casino. Third, this unused linen item is not technically a postcard, more of an ad card fully pre-printed on the back. If you had been desperate at the time, you might have been able to mail it as a postcard but that was not the intention. As for the hotel, it is apparently closed for renovations as we type this, due to re-open soon. No doubt the online reviews will improve then. Implied grade for this nice historical artifact: 1
-
Honduras
Can’t quite make out the postmark but it looks like the card was mailed in the 1980s. In any case, what’s now Belize still appears as “Brit Honduras” so that is a clue. The stamp is there. Slight aging, but good condition. Grade: 1
