Schleswig-Holstein, map and greetings (Germany)
A card for several categories, mailed in 2020 with stamp, faint postmark, Priority label, and many little “chops” of holiday and weather-related images. Grade: 4
-
Crete (Greece)
Unused, with one corner slightly bumped. Grade: 2
-
Lake Superior Circle Route (USA/Canada)
Mailed in 2021, this card has four different USA stamps (three uncancelled) and some postmark transfer on the front. One might think of shipping more than roads, but there it is. Grade: 2
-
Sint Maarten / Saint Marten
Unused card. Grade: 1
-
Native Indian Tribes
We like this card a lot, without knowing how accurate it is or what liberties it takes with boundaries. It was mailed from Arizona in 2022 with a round Global Forever stamp and crystal-clear postmark. Grade: 1
-
Belize
One of the nicer postcard maps in our stock, on this unused card. Grade: 1
-
Israel
Unused card with a bit of staining along the right reverse edge. For reasons we won’t go into here, we’re always curious about what map cards of this region actually show. Grade: 2
-
Caribbean map
This compact and colourful map of the Caribbean, on an unused postcard, originated from — and is attributed to — Roatan, Honduras. Grade: 1
-
Roatan historical sites (Honduras)
Although one might not want to work too hard to decipher this unused card, we suppose it has a lot of information on it. Grade: 1
-
Freeport / Grand Bahama Island (Bahamas)
These map postcards often compel us to place a card in multiple theme categories, and this one is no exception. Unused, it’s more a map of Grand Bahama than just of Freeport but it’s also just the type of card we would like if someone mailed it to us. We went to Nassau once. For four hours. Grade: 1
-
Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park (Maine, USA)
The caption on the back of this unused Mike Roberts card ME 945 is quite detailed for so few words. The map is almost impossible to decipher but that’s what makes it appealing. Grade: 1
-
New Orleans (wood novelty) (Louisiana, USA)
An old city map on a new (and unused) wooden novelty card from Preservation Hall. Grade: 1
-
Map of Wyoming, Kopper Kard (USA)
This Kopper Kard (do you know them? Actual metal) map of Wyoming was mailed from Germany (not Wyoming!) in 2024, with an uncancelled, large German stamp. Grade: 3
